Repeat Prescriptions
If your long-term medication has been approved on a repeat prescription basis you can re-order in a number of ways:
Online - sign up for the NHS App so that you can order your prescription, nominate a pharmacy, book appointments and view your medical record, including results.
In person- hand in your ‘repeat prescription’ slip (the white slip that detaches from the green prescription), or a request form, at the surgery.
By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
By email - prescriptions.downingst@nhs.net
Make sure you nominate a pharmacy - your prescription will be sent to them electronically once processed.
We do not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication should have a review of their medications at least once a year - a notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book a telephone appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
